About The Position

Operating in a global delivery model, this role brings strategic direction to testing and acts as the subject matter expert for both the quality discipline and a line of business domain(s). Leads the review of testing artifacts throughout the product life-cycle to ensure appropriate sign off and prioritization of testing work. This includes coordinating test strategy, scripting, and defect resolution, as well as ensuring early engagement with internal partners and proactive planning to ensure quality is a core area of focus early in the product lifecycle. Take accountability for quality standards in the development, implementation, and upkeep of test scripts and opportunities for automation of testing products. Developing meaningful management metrics that help to gauge project health. Identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement in product release.

Requirements

  • Over 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies
  • Expertise in test case design, execution, and defect management
  • Experience in end-to-end and exploratory testing
  • Experience with tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of JSON/XML validation and database validation (SQL)
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium / Playwright / Cypress
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or equivalent
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
  • Test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, XRAY or similar)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration
  • Ability to work in fast-paced Agile environments
  • Ownership mindset with focus on quality, scalability, and reliability

  • AI experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement test strategy, test plans, and quality gates for releases
  • Design and execute manual, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks across API and UI layers
  • Perform API validation including request/response, authentication, and data integrity
  • Build and execute UI automation tests using modern frameworks
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing
  • Perform defect analysis, root cause analysis, and quality reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure early quality involvement (shift-left)
  • Mentor team members and promote quality engineering best practices
