About The Position

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to ensure that food safety and quality assurance monitoring programs are carried out. The role communicates results to the supervisor and other on-site leadership as needed, facilitates training for Quality Assurance Technicians, prioritizes department needs, and assigns staff accordingly. The Quality Assurance Lead also performs all roles of Quality Assurance Technicians and supports, implements, improves, and maintains quality assurance and food safety programs.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience in quality control and food safety in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of quality and food safety methodologies and their implementation within manufacturing environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, training, and team-building skills.
• Good writing, statistical, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respond to the concerns of managers and subordinates.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to use a computer and/or tablet.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to use Red Zone, Heavy Connect, Produce Pro, or other QC/QA date software systems.
• Ability to work overtime depending on business need.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law is required.
