We are seeking a highly technical Lead Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to spearhead the testing and reliability of our Treasury Management solutions tailored for healthcare clients. This role is responsible for ensuring the seamless, bug-free operation of Java-based applications that bridge the gap between complex hospital revenue cycles and core banking platforms. The ideal candidate is a "player-coach" who can design sophisticated automation frameworks, execute high-stakes manual testing, and ensure that every byte of financial data remains compliant with both banking regulations and healthcare privacy standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2+ years in a Lead capacity.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and experience testing Java-based enterprise applications.
  • Proven experience with automation tools (Selenium, REST Assured, Appium) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Deep understanding of Treasury Management (ACH, Wires, Cash Management) and/or Healthcare Revenue Cycle operations.
  • Hands-on experience testing APIs (Swagger/Postman) and data interfaces between disparate systems.
  • Mastery of test case development, UAT coordination, and tools like Jira, ServiceNow, or ALM/Octane.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare privacy (HIPAA) and banking regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a retail bank’s Treasury or Healthcare business unit.
  • Familiarity with healthcare-specific file formats (e.g., HL7, 835/837 remittance files).
  • Experience with Performance Testing (JMeter) or Security/Penetration testing basics.

Responsibilities

  • Define the end-to-end testing strategy for Java-based treasury applications, including manual, automated, regression, and integration testing phases.
  • Design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, or TestNG) specifically for Java environments to increase testing velocity and coverage.
  • Validate complex "handshakes" between banking portals and external healthcare systems, including: Electronic Health Records (EHR) (e.g., Epic, Cerner). Practice Management Systems and Billing/ERP platforms (Oracle, Workday).
  • Lead the functional testing of critical healthcare financial workflows, including: Lockbox services and Integrated Receivables. ACH, Wire payments, and ISO 20022 messaging. Merchant services and Remote Deposit Capture (RDC).
  • Ensure all applications meet rigorous HIPAA, SOC2, and PCI-DSS standards, focusing on the protection of Protected Health Information (PHI) within financial transactions.
  • Lead defect triage sessions with developers and product owners; perform root cause analysis on production issues and ensure proper escalation within Agile/Waterfall streams.
  • Act as the primary QA point of contact for healthcare clients, technical vendors, and internal technology partners during large-scale implementations.
  • Oversee the creation of "sanitized" test data that mimics complex healthcare billing scenarios without exposing real patient information.
