This role is responsible for analyzing samples, documenting results, maintaining laboratory equipment, and supporting product releases, customer complaint investigations, and research and development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (A.S.) or equivalent education in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing, medical device, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or medical facility environment.
  • Experience performing laboratory testing using established procedures and documenting results.
  • Experience operating laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office and computer-based documentation systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience processing tissues or cytology samples preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory testing and inspections according to approved procedures and work instructions.
  • Analyze samples, conduct experiments, and accurately interpret and document test results.
  • Review products and materials during manufacturing to verify conformance to established specifications.
  • Measure components and perform quality inspections to identify defects or nonconforming materials.
  • Support investigations related to product releases, customer complaints, and research and development activities.
  • Process and prepare tissue and cytology samples using laboratory equipment and established procedures.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including, but not limited to microtomes, cryostats, microscopes, CO₂ incubators, laminar flow hoods, and autoclaves.
  • Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and coordinating inventory of laboratory materials and supplies.
  • Prepare, organize, store, and properly dispose of chemicals and laboratory materials in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Record laboratory data and testing results accurately in both paper and electronic documentation systems following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment while adhering to all environmental health and safety requirements.
  • Cross-train in additional laboratory functions to provide support across the Quality organization as business needs require.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory processes, product quality, and operational efficiency.
