About The Position

Quality Assurance Lab Technician is responsible for performing laboratory testing completely, accurately and in an efficient manner to allow the communication of results to the processing facilities so they are able to make appropriate decision based on those results.

Requirements

Must be able to work Monday - Friday schedule with one Saturday and Sunday per month as regular work schedule
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Must be able to practice good personal hygiene.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Work extended hours, weekends and overtime if needed.
Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
Basic computer skills using Google Suite.
Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical.

Nice To Haves

Associates Degree in related area or equivalent preferred.
Experience in lab and/or quality assurance is preferred.
Experience if food manufacturing or processing a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform microbiological testing using standard methods and PCR.
Analyze and interpret microbial results and entering results into the WLF Intranet.
Perform chemical and nutrition testing as required by sample scheduling.
Manufacturing media weekly or bi-weekly based on sampling schedule.
Perform Quality Control sample testing.
Maintain a clean work environment to ensure legitimacy of testing practices.
Other duties as assigned.
