About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector for the 3rd Shift. This is an onsite role where you will be responsible for performing dimensional and visual inspections on parts, tools, gages, and other equipment using various measuring instruments and automated machines. You will also be responsible for mathematical computations to determine nonconformance, completing paperwork, performing in-line checks, arranging for equipment repair or replacement, and performing routine servicing of equipment. Additionally, you will assist others with specialized inspection processes. This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance (DoD Clearance: Secret), and U.S. citizenship is mandatory for eligibility. An active and existing security clearance is required from day one.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years quality assurance inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.

Responsibilities

Work from applicable written inspection procedures, drawings, and other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment.
Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines where program instructions are well defined to check dimensions and record results.
Perform necessary mathematical computations to determine extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork.
Follow proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verification of dimensions and make sure operation sheets are followed.
Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of equipment used in performing the work as necessary.
Perform routine servicing throughout assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions such as inspector’s check list for upkeep and assure equipment operates properly.
Assist others who are responsible for specialized inspection processes such as those found in statistical process control or other similar quality assurance programs.
