Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree.
  • Some college courses desirable; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess general working knowledge of personal computers and related software (Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word).
  • Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, scales, various rulers, and other such mechanical measuring devices.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain parts and accompanying Purchase Order (P.O.) and Receiving Inspection Test Record (RITR) and inspects material using RITR requirements and drawings.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork, including Receiving Report, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) for discrepant material.
  • Process accepted parts to stores and rejected parts to Material Review Board (MRB) area.
  • Verify P.O.’s, certifications and packing slips for conformance to Procurement Quality Requirements.
  • Ensure that all equipment used is within the calibration schedule.
  • Work from drawings and blueprints where general information is verified, performs basic daily filing duties of Incoming Inspection’s Receiving Inspection Test Records (RITRs).
  • Inspect raw materials, vendor standard parts, and assemblies per applicable drawings and company or customer specifications.
  • Inspect complex parts and parts having close tolerances, utilizing surface plate set-ups and written instruction where available.
  • Verify Source Inspected parts that require minimal inspection.
  • Perform First Articles.
  • Check electrical products using volt/ohmmeters and power supplies.
  • Perform acceptance inspection.
  • Analyze and define discrepancies.
  • Inspect materials involving compound angles or three-dimensional projections using inspection techniques relative to surface plate inspection.
  • Perform receipt of material/parts entering Incoming QC inspection area. Material/parts are numerically stored on the Incoming Inspection shelves to await their selection for the inspection process.
  • Inspect PC boards using microscope to verify correct components and solder of component connections.
  • When authorized, Issue Authorized Release Documents (FAA Form 8130-3) and required training.
  • Accurately complete daily material/part receipt activities into the facility.
