About The Position

As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you’ll help make sure the precision parts, tools, and components we manufacture meet customer specifications and JV Manufacturing’s quality standards. This is a part-time position with hours established based on business needs and candidate availability. Additional hours may occasionally be available or required depending on production needs. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong basic math skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing or machining experience.
Experience reading blueprints or engineered drawings.
Experience using precision measuring equipment.
Quality inspection or Quality Assurance experience.
Tool & die experience or experience in a related skilled trade.
Education or training in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Inspecting manufactured parts, tools, and components using blueprints, engineered drawings, sketches, and specifications.
Verifying dimensions, alignments, clearances, and other print requirements.
Using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, drop micrometers, gauge blocks/pins, indicators, comparators, and other inspection tools.
Determining the best inspection method and proper measuring equipment for each part.
Using or learning equipment such as CMMs, vision systems, and contour tracers.
Identifying and documenting parts that do not meet specifications through Nonconformance Reports (NCRs).
Working with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and other Quality team members to resolve questions or quality concerns.
Completing inspection documentation accurately and efficiently.
Helping keep production moving without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
Participating in training, cross-training, and continuous improvement efforts.
