About The Position

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is in search of a Quality Engineer to join our team! You will plan and execute cost-effective quality processes to assure that we will meet or exceed contractual quality requirements and provide the required level of protection to Moog and its Customers. In this role, you will have a measurable impact on our business performance by promoting the highest standards of quality. Given the complexity of the hardware we produce, we’re looking for someone who understands its critical nature. This position will support the ACC – Servo Valve Value Stream. This role offers a first shift, on-site schedule at our East Aurora, NY location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal management supervision.
  • Proficiency with problem solving tools and documentation.
  • Ability to work onsite in East Aurora, NY (remote candidates will not be considered)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for quality success on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality related decisions for our customers.
  • Collaborate with global partners to gather insights, resolve challenges, meet program requirements, and maintain consistent, transparent communication with customers.
  • Improve production by conducting QE studies, recommending design changes, and providing quality support to manufacturing personnel.
  • Facilitate cross functional teams through problem solving activities. These activities will include failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, customer & governmental interface, audit support configuration control, and traceability.
  • Develop Quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection.
  • Work directly with customers and suppliers to identify root cause and corrective actions on complex issues.
  • Reduce inspection costs and prevent failure-related expenses through statistical analysis and problem-solving.
