About The Position

The QA Analyst will serve as part of the cross-functional product teams. This role will be responsible for quality in the products and will manage technical and functional testing, test data, test environments, and the direct support of end-users encountering bugs in the system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in software quality assurance required.
  • Strong experience with web-specific QA methodologies, modern web browsers, responsive design testing, and web traffic inspection tools.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and how web applications interact with APIs.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development workflows and familiarity with test management/bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Proficiency in accessing and querying SQL and NoSQL databases to validate data integrity and storage accuracy. Ability to independently manage test data and verify backend results to enhance test case efficiency.
  • Experience navigating Linux server environments to independently access and analyze application logs for troubleshooting, without requiring development support.
  • Experience with a scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, etc.) in the context of debugging, log parsing, or testing web applications.

Responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical designs to build comprehensive test cases and scripts, focusing primarily on manual testing.
  • Build and perform Unit, Regression, and UAT testing cycles for various web applications.
  • Act as the gatekeeper for releases to Staging and QA environments. Track and publish testing KPIs for release testing cycles.
  • Perform robust compatibility testing across various operating systems (Windows, macOS), mobile devices (iOS, Android), and modern web browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox), ensuring responsive design integrity.
  • Utilize Browser Developer Tools (Chrome DevTools, Safari Web Inspector, etc.) to inspect the DOM, analyze network traffic, and debug frontend errors/console logs.
  • Validate API endpoints, testing headless endpoints, RESTful services, and webhood backend integrations using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Verify web cookies, local storage, session states, JSON payloads, custom data layer objects and cache behaviors.
  • Conduct basic web accessibility testing compliance (WCAG 2.1, Section 508) using screen readers or automated tools like Lighthouse or Axe.
  • Assess website page-load performance, Core Web Vitals (LCP,INP,CLS), and responsiveness under various network conditions.
  • Designate test accounts across environments and manage access.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
  • Collect user feedback on product quality/reliability and integrate it into testing tools and/or scripts. Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
