Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional and diplomatic demeanor
  • Strong sense of accountability and integrity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management skills to support multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to deal with change and work in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office programs
  • Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.
  • Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.

Responsibilities

  • Support of quality improvements in products and processes and provide guidance in matters relating to regulatory and oversight environments.
  • Support various production areas across Fabrication, Assembly Aircraft Completions and Delivery, as well as functional areas such as Supply Chain, Engineering, and Customer Service.
  • Develop and revise Quality systems and procedures as directed by management to ensure documentation is compliant to current practices.
  • Conduct Government and FAA requested audits and investigations and report on corrective action steps taken to prevent recurrences when necessary.
  • Gather and analyze performance data (scrap, rejections, defects, rework) to aid in the development of process improvement projects.
  • Coordinate across other production and functional areas to ensure maximum quality and efficiencies are achieved.
  • Conduct process or product based audits in production or functional areas or within the supply base (external suppliers).
