The Quality Assurance Engineer I will support and improve quality systems that ensure our products meet performance, safety, and customer expectations. This role assists in developing and improving quality assurance programs, procedures, and controls aligned with ISO 9001 standards. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing quality control processes using statistical and lean manufacturing techniques, analyzing quality data to drive corrective and preventive actions, and supporting the development and execution of quality plans, especially for new product development and complex assemblies. The engineer will collaborate with engineering, production, and cross-functional teams to improve processes and procedures, interface with customers and vendors to resolve quality issues, and develop and perform laboratory testing and validation procedures. Additionally, the role involves creating and maintaining ISO documentation, reporting quality metrics to leadership, designing simple fixtures, tools, or process controls to improve production quality, and planning and performing internal and external audits to ensure compliance and drive improvement. The Quality Assurance Engineer I will also support calibration systems, operate equipment to evaluate product and process performance, collect data, analyze results, and provide guidance and support to QA technicians and inspectors, while promoting a culture of problem-solving, accountability, and continuous improvement and following company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
