About The Position

As a Quality Assurance Engineer I at PTI Technologies Inc., you support assigned parts of the Quality Assurance Program and help maintain quality standards for processes, materials, and products. The role provides practical QA experience in a regulated manufacturing environment serving aerospace and defense markets.

The position is onsite in Oxnard Monday through Thursday. Work includes moving between a desk and the manufacturing floor, reviewing documentation and records, participating in cross-functional discussions, organizing audit notes, updating trackers, preparing internal or customer-facing summaries, and confirming items for upcoming review or escalation.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0–3 years of experience in QA, manufacturing, or related work.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications, including basic GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Solid math skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Draft and update QA procedures and supporting documentation.
• Perform audits for compliance with the QA program and applicable standards.
• Help develop and deliver quality training for inspectors and manufacturing teams.
• Analyze nonconformances and support corrective and preventive actions; communicate actions to customers when needed.
• Review contracts and purchase orders for QA requirements and ensure proper flow-down.
• Coordinate with customer QA representatives to resolve issues.
• Support project teams by gathering and reviewing drawings, bills of materials, and First Article Inspection documentation.
• Review documentation and records for accuracy and completeness, organize audit notes, update trackers, and prepare clear summaries.
