About The Position

Engineered Air is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to support the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) across multiple manufacturing plants. This role involves coordination, follow-up, data tracking, and on-site quality support, working closely with plant managers, supervisors, and production teams to promote quality awareness, consistency, and compliance with established standards. The position requires a strong plant floor presence for inspections and direct engagement with production teams to drive quality improvements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems/ ISO 9001
  • Post-secondary education in a technical field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality principles, tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Practical understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting inspections on the plant floor, identifying and documenting deficiencies, and communicating required fixes or repairs to plant management prior to equipment shipment.
  • Prioritizing inspections and activities based on non-conformances, priority orders, and specific customer requirements.
  • Engaging with assemblers, foremen, and lead hands to educate and reinforce quality expectations, production directives, and best practices.
  • Assisting the QA Manager with processing non-conformance reports, ensuring accurate and technical documentation.
  • Supporting the tracking of investigations and corrective actions to confirm documentation and completion.
  • Monitoring and following up on NCRs, providing support for analysis and corrective actions to technical supervisors and plant managers.
  • Compiling quality assurance data, preparing and providing summaries, and assisting with trend analysis and reporting for management review.
  • Leading regular quality meetings at the plant to review NCRs, KPIs, and improvement opportunities, engaging directly on the production lines.
  • Supporting the QA Manager in implementing, maintaining, and standardizing QMS compliance across all plants, ensuring alignment with company procedures, applicable regulatory requirements, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Coordinating internal and external audit readiness for assigned locations by organizing documentation, tracking corrective actions, and supporting departments in preparation activities.
  • Assisting with training and awareness programs for supervisors and workers to promote a culture of quality.
  • Assisting in incoming material inspections as required.
  • Providing support to the plant manager by identifying deficiencies and improvement opportunities within the calibration and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Assisting the QA Manager with other quality-related activities and initiatives as required.
  • Traveling between Calgary manufacturing plants and occasional travel to Edmonton.
