Quality Assurance Coordinator-RN or LVN
About The Position
The Quality Assurance Coordinator manages the collection, evaluation, and communication of quality performance data in a correctional health care setting. Working under the direction of site leadership, the coordinator helps ensure documentation and records meet protocol requirements and state and federal health care standards. The role supports quality improvement programs by monitoring performance, evaluating processes, and promoting accountability throughout the facility. It also contributes to reporting, audits, and training efforts that support continuous improvement. The role requires an RN or LVN and is available only to people who reside in the United States.
Requirements
- Must be an RN or LVN.
- Graduate degree from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Training in processes and quality tools.
- At least one year of experience.
- Current and maintained lifesaving BLS certification through AHA.
- Current and maintained lifesaving ACLS certification through AHA.
- Must reside in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of experience working in a QA setting, or a certificate in quality such as Green Belt, Certified Quality Technician, Quality Improvement Associate, or Quality Inspector.
- Previous correctional or detention facility experience.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and oversee quality performance data and related data entry.
- Design, conduct, and evaluate quality audits, reviews, and control plans.
- Perform and coordinate medical record and chart reviews to abstract relevant data.
- Prepare and generate formal reports on performance against quality indicators.
- Support training, orientation, and collaboration with staff to promote quality improvement.
