About The Position

The Quality Assurance Coordinator receives order assignments from warehouse dispatch and builds the routes that will be going out the next day. Responsible for avoiding shorts, miss-ships and damaged or outdated products going out to customers.

Requirements

3 or more years proven experience in a quality control role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, CGMP, HACCP, and other relevant industry standards.
PCQI and HACCP Certifications
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and vision inspection systems.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Familiarity with Calypso software or similar quality management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitoring the manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to procedures and requirements specified within SOPs and the HACCP program resulting in quick, strong decisions during operations.
Responsible for pre-operative facility inspection.
Inspecting and calibrating measuring instruments.
Inspecting and evaluating raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products according to specifications and standards.
Working collaboratively with production department to enforce food safety and quality assurance protocols for safe food manufacturing.
Provide support to the production floor by enforcing and monitoring the GMPs to ensure quality.
Conduct internal GMP and warehouse audits to assure product safety and quality.
Continuously monitoring the critical control points to maintain their effectiveness against potential hazards.
Verify adherence to procedures: monitor and verify process controls, sanitation and GMP practices.
Assist Quality Manager/Supervisor in conducting food safety/ sanitation audits and communicate finding, recommendations, and corrective actions.
Involved in preparation and execution of customer/ third party regulatory audits.
Isolate and put on “HOLD” any material, product, ingredient, or packaging material which might pose a food safety risk or otherwise compromise product quality or integrity.
Work closely with production, warehouse and sanitation departments.
Conduct weekly Listeria swabbing in rotating areas of the facility to be sent to laboratory testing.
Conduct sanitation verification program by the use of ATP luciferase unit for regular sanitation verification.
Conduct micro lab test (APC, Coliform, E. coli, yeast, and mold)
Check and report the inventory of all material needed for process check (A&B reagents, starch indicator, iodine, ATP and Listeria swabs), lab check (dilution bottles, petri film, pipette tips) production aids (PS10, AS5), all PPEs every week.
Conduct any other related function as per instruction from the supervisor.
