About The Position

The Quality Assurance Auditor helps ensure products meet quality standards before they are shipped to customers. The role identifies and addresses quality issues to support product integrity, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. It is based at Carter’s Stockbridge Distribution Center.

The Auditor performs random audits of incoming shipments, examining workmanship, packaging and labeling, shading, product integrity, and measurements. The position documents findings and maintains records of non-conforming products in the QA database, conducts metal and neck stretch audits for compliance with CPSC guidelines and requirements, and maintains knowledge of Carter’s safety manual and defect classifications. The Auditor also locates pallets using an RF scanner and performs other work or quality-related projects as assigned by the QA Supervisor or Coordinator.

Requirements

• Experience using tablet and PC applications, including MS Office web applications, MS Teams, and project management tools.
• Strong and accurate mathematical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately read a measuring tape; a test may be given.
• Good color perception; a test may be given.
• Ability to operate a manual pallet jack to move work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively, scan with RF equipment, bend, twist, and remain on one's feet for shifts up to 12 hours long.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors, managers, and peers.
• Flexibility to work overtime and comply with blackout periods during peak periods, when vacation or personal time is not allowed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma.
• Familiarity with statistical sampling, AQL tables, and product inspection.
• Apparel construction experience, through home or industrial sewing.
• Apparel retail experience may be accepted in lieu of sewing experience.
