About The Position

We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented Quality Assurance & Food Safety Coordinator to help maintain the highest standards of food safety, regulatory compliance and product quality across our manufacturing operations. The Quality Assurance & Food Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining Sahah Naturals’ quality systems across our manufacturing ecosystem. This role combines food safety, regulatory compliance, supplier quality, documentation and hands-on quality assurance activities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, problem solving, continuous improvement and ensuring products consistently meet the highest quality and food safety standards. It also provides excellent exposure to quality assurance, manufacturing operations and regulatory affairs within a growing food company.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology or a related discipline preferred
  • 2–5 years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance or food safety
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, Preventive Control Plans (PCPs) and food safety principles
  • Strong Google Sheets / Excel experience
  • Excellent written documentation and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with internal teams and external manufacturing partners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting SQF, CFIA, BRC or other GFSI-recognized food safety systems is considered an asset
  • Bilingual (English/French) is considered a strong asset

Responsibilities

  • Support SQF, HACCP and food safety programs through documentation and daily execution
  • Maintain and update the Preventive Control Plan (PCP)
  • Maintain quality documentation and ensure records remain complete and audit-ready
  • Coordinate laboratory testing, review results and communicate any concerns
  • Support internal and external audit preparation
  • Maintain supplier quality documentation including COAs, specifications and certifications
  • Manage product holdback samples and retention records
  • Maintain product traceability systems and support mock recalls
  • Support CFIA and FDA compliance documentation
  • Assist with product label compliance and Nutrition Facts Table (NFT) updates
  • Maintain product specifications and quality records
  • Conduct routine quality inspections within the warehouses and facilities
  • Verify production records and manufacturing documentation
  • Perform incoming material inspections as required
  • Assist with product evaluations and retain samples
  • Coordinate sanitation and holdback documentation with manufacturing partners
  • Execute routine quality control activities within the company’s food safety system
  • Support non-conformance investigations (NCRs)
  • Coordinate customer complaint investigations and corrective actions (CAPAs)
  • Assist with identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within the Quality Management System
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Purchasing and Product Development to support product quality
