This position provides quality assurance duties for MEDS, MMIS, MMRS, and RMMIS systems projects. The Mainframe Quality Assurance team includes Clemson information technology professionals and experienced consultants. Team members are expected to be productive, flexible, self-motivated, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision in an environment where ambiguity is common. The role calls for strong collaboration and the ability to understand top-level goals and contribute toward them in support of the State of South Carolina. The project implements federally and state-mandated changes to South Carolina’s Medicaid system. The position performs quality assurance and business interface testing, supports User Acceptance Testing of software coding changes to Medicaid-related data, and may test changes with users, external healthcare providers, and trading partners. The work also involves interfacing with other agencies and internal subsystems. This is a quality assurance tester role, not a programmer, business analyst, or project manager position. The analyst works with the project team to test coding changes, create test scenarios, execute tests, analyze results, resolve differences between actual and expected results, and support User Acceptance Testing with SCDHHS. The role also involves written and verbal communication, assisting with business, process, and technical documentation, and collaboration with Clemson staff and other contracted staff.
