About The Position

The Quality Assurance position is responsible for verifying the accuracy and completeness of loan files, new accounts, and certificates of deposit, auditing various financial reports, and managing escheat processes. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining IRA documentation, performing regular account cleanups, assisting with internal audits, and supporting compliance and external audits through documentation and reporting. Support, model & adhere to PFCU’s Service Standards as outlined in My Marc.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • A minimum of two years of loan/member service experience at PFCU or another institution.
  • A minimum of one year in the Quality Assurance Administrator Position is required for a Level II Quality Assurance Administrator Position.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, clients, members, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must have the capability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized and non-standardized situations.
  • Excellent knowledge of the credit union’s core system.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the forms and documentation used by the credit union.
  • Strong knowledge of credit union products and services.
  • Excellent understanding of the Credit Union departments and procedures.
  • Punctual, self-motivated, detail-oriented, confident and accurate.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and reports with varying deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies loan files for accuracy and completeness
  • Verifies new accounts for accuracy and completeness
  • Verifies certificate of deposits for accuracy and completeness
  • Audit daily/monthly loan report
  • Review Misc. Daily/Weekly/Monthly Account Clean Up/Exception Reports
  • Verify file maintenance and dormant accounts
  • Verify and complete changes per the NCOA (National Change of Address) report, quarterly
  • Wolters Kluwer IRA Downloads (tracking and updating forms and spec-file)
  • Escheat Management Reporting; running jobs, sending letters, monitor and process accounts
  • Maintain IRA Manual and updates
  • Review and work following reports; Maturity Exceptions, Anniversary Exceptions, Auto Tax Deferred Exceptions, Loans Needing Rate Change, New Loans Approval Code, Loan/Share Cleanup, IRA Transaction for Month, IRA Clean Job, RMD Distributions/RMD A & B Letters, Certificate Clean Job, Credit Card Clean Job, TLC Clean Job and Loan to Share Clean
  • Seek training opportunities to develop or enhance through training, conferences, reading etc. Willingly participate in and attend educational functions and meetings as requested by management
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Assist with “spot check” internal audit procedures, ie: review of employee accounts, loan documentation, dormant account activity, Critical File Maintenance reports, official check reviews, override reports, Q2 reviews, etc.
  • Upload CDD Questionnaires into BSA software
  • Review the Transunion High Risk Report on a quarterly basis
  • Review and update Red Flag as needed
  • Create Red Flag report for Board of Directors
  • Support external audits by providing documentation and information as needed
  • Support the compliance area in any other way deemed necessary dependent on the needs of the department
  • Follows regulatory and policy compliance requirements which would include those efforts in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), Red Flag and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations, and other compliance related policies.
  • This position requires maintaining confidentiality with regard to non-public information about our members, employees and the Credit Union. We must protect the confidentiality of member information. Financial transactions are confidential and private. With account access, employees are to handle member information responsibly and confidentially.
