Quality & Assembly Team Lead

Milwaukee ElectronicsCanby, OR
Onsite

About The Position

The Quality & Assembly Team Lead is the connective tissue of the shift — keeping quality inspection, assembly, and rework running smoothly while making sure every team member has the support, training, and direction they need to do their best work. You're a working lead: on the floor, hands-on, solving problems in real time, and the first line of support before escalating to the Shift Supervisor or Engineering. If you hold yourself to a high standard, take pride in developing others, and know your way around IPC workmanship requirements, this role was built for you.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of electronics manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on training
  • Strong working knowledge of IPC-A-610 workmanship standards
  • Ability to read and interpret quality documentation and written work instructions
  • Basic math skills and ability to read performance data
  • Strong communication skills — you can coach, document, escalate, and collaborate with equal ease
  • Passing scores required on IPC Component Identification and IPC Workmanship Standards courses (in-house training provided)
  • IPC-A-610 CIT certification or willingness to obtain (in-house training provided)
  • Must be eligible to work in an ITAR-controlled facility (U.S. Person status required)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a working lead across quality inspection, assembly, and rework operations — actively participating, not just directing
  • Coordinate and prioritize daily workflow for a cross-functional team including Quality Inspectors I–III, Assemblers, WAVE and Selective Solder Machine Operators, and Rework Specialists
  • Ensure 100% training compliance for the shift, including: X-ray safety and operation training, IPC-A-610 CIS certification training
  • Lead new employee onboarding and training coordination
  • Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and issue resolution support to team members
  • Capture, document, and drive resolution of production issues cross-functionally
  • Partner with process owners on continuous improvement activities
  • Provide performance feedback on team members to the Shift Supervisor
  • Champion 6S standards and safety practices across production workspaces
  • Cover Shift Supervisor responsibilities as needed in their absence

Benefits

  • 10% shift differential pay for working evening/night hours
  • Overtime pay for hours worked beyond 10 per day
  • A consistent, predictable schedule you can plan your life around
