About The Position

The Intensive Behavior Center (IBC) is an intensive, short-term treatment facility for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental illnesses. IBC provides an environment for building healthy, effective, and fulfilling lives so those receiving treatment can live successfully in the community after discharge. The Quality and Information Specialist participates as a member of the Quality management team and oversees Therap Services (electronic client record system) and has experience with the modules and functions of the system. This position will review online documentation reporting, and communication including progress notes, incident reports, Medication Administration Records (MAR), and will audit on a daily basis to ensure all required documentation is being completed and will report any deficiencies to the management team. This position’s responsibilities include quality assurance of online documentation, researching, developing, and implementing new Therap modules and updates that would increase the proficiency of the facilities documentation. This position will be required to present training on Therap system to new employees during orientation and provide continued and as needed training to staff as required.

Requirements

  • General knowledge of business and database management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of training techniques for adult learners.
  • Review and auditing knowledge.
  • Incident Management knowledge.
  • Quality Assurance knowledge.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business and two years job related experience.
  • Other directly related combinations of education/experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Therap Services Trainer or willing to become certified if requested by facility administrator.
