About The Position

The Quality Compliance Specialist is a professional responsible for advancing ACR Electronics’ Quality Management System (QMS) across the organization. This role drives compliance with AS9100 requirements, FAA regulations, and customer standards through structured training programs, rigorous internal auditing, effective corrective action management, and data-driven metrics. The Quality Compliance Specialist serves as a primary interface with customers and third-party auditors, champions continuous improvement, and ensures quality performance is visible and actionable at all levels of the company.

Requirements

  • Certified AS9100 Internal Auditor (Lead Auditor certification preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct multi-clause QMS audits independently.
  • Proficiency in quality tools: 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, PFMEA, control plans, and SPC.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience developing and delivering formal training programs to mixed-level audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting findings and metrics to leadership and customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with QMS software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years working in a Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance role in a manufacturing environment, or prior applicable experience.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 Rev D / ISO 9001 clause structure and implementation.
  • Familiarity with Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) systems and nonconformance management workflows.
  • Continuous learner — committed to developing knowledge through research, training, and hands-on experience.
  • Ability to decompose internal or external customer statements of work into detailed quality requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with suppliers and internal customers to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve quality issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Lead Auditor certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years in the Aviation/Aerospace field is a plus.
  • Experience with FAA regulatory requirements and Boeing customer flow-down requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Lead Internal Auditor for the AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Develop and maintain the annual internal audit schedule; plan, conduct, and document system, process, and product audits (including Repair & Overhaul).
  • Manage and own the corrective action process end-to-end — from initiation through root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and verified effectiveness.
  • Lead root cause analysis using structured methodologies including 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, and PFMEA.
  • Develop, schedule, and deliver annual AS9100 quality awareness and role-specific training for all employees; maintain training records in QT9.
  • Facilitate 8D / problem-solving methodology training and coach teams through structured problem-solving exercises.
  • Define, collect, analyze, and report key quality metrics across the organization (NCR rates, CA cycle time, audit findings trends, first-pass yield, customer escapes).
  • Prepare the monthly Quality performance slide deck for leadership review; highlight trends, risks, and improvement actions.
  • Drive cross-functional corrective or preventive actions based on metric analysis and systemic issue identification.
  • Serve as primary quality point of contact during customer audits and surveillance visits, including OEM customers.
  • Coordinate third-party AS9100 / FAA surveillance and re-certification audits; prepare the site and ensure readiness.
  • Prepare and submit formal responses to customer Nonconformance Notices (NNs) and audit findings within required timelines.
  • Work with Engineering Subject Matter Experts, customers, and suppliers with minimal direction to support quality-related technical issues.
  • Prepare audit summaries for monthly Quality Review and annual Management Review.
  • Support change control activities, PFMEA updates, and QMS documentation maintenance as required.
  • Prepare FAI for new products and annual updates.
