Huhtamaki, a leading supplier of drinking cups, frozen dessert, and food packaging containers, has an immediate opening for a Quality Analyst in the Fulton, New York facility. Job Summary The Quality Analyst will collaborate with various internal and external personnel to ensure the highest level of quality and food safety for all products produced here in Fulton. This position offers opportunities to grow with experience, challenging assignments, and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Accredited High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have the ability to lead DMAIC projects
  • Must have high interpersonal skills, along with strong communication skills with both internal and external personnel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word is required.
  • Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment.
  • Must be able to multitask and have good organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work independently to drive projects to completion.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Experience and knowledge in Foodservice and/or paperboard manufacturing preferred.
  • Understanding of SPC and DOE is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely utilizing Job Safety Analysis and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist with management of the facility's supplier approval, complaint, and claim processes. This requires working directly with internal personnel and suppliers.
  • Provide support and back-up for the facilities customer complaint process.
  • Create quality reports and update quality KPIs.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis projects/teams utilizing problem solving tools.
  • Trend internal and external loss data to establish DMAIC project lists and priorities.
  • Lead and support DMAIC projects to reduce internal and external loss.
  • Conduct internal and external audits.
  • Utilize the ERP system to identify and track products.
  • Maintain and create regulatory, supplier, and company-required reports, trends, and SOPs.
  • Assist with the Fulton EWO (Experimental Work Order) and MQ (Material Qualification) processes. This includes establishing trial parameters, monitoring trials, communicating trial results, collecting and sending samples, and finalizing trial reports.
  • Conduct raw material and finished product testing.
  • Meet all company requirements and follow all established policies and procedures.
