About The Position

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Quality Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in Palmdale, CA. Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience in Quality Nonconformance documentation Preliminary Review experience tag generation OR Master's Degree with 0 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of Global Manufacturing processes as defined in process specifications or previous manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to work any shift.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain MRB Authority.
  • Ability to make decisions that impact the organization’s credibility, operations, and services.
  • Ability to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints.
  • Able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs, be able to verify defects by climbing on to or under aircraft in confined spaces and sit for up to 5-10 hours at a time.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed in the last 6 years)
  • Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR)

Nice To Haves

  • Preliminary Review Authority or previous Preliminary Review Authority is required with a first pass yield of 94% or greater.
  • Training and thorough knowledge of Nonconforming Material Control (NMC) Manual Via MRB Mentorship or previous MRB membership.
