This position will work in Quality Control in Marietta, GA, to support all aspects of the C-130J build cycle to include assembly, structural repairs on sub or major assemblies, and functional checks. This position is responsible for ensuring QA policies, procedures, and practices are followed and executed correctly to company and regulatory standards. Initiates, reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality-related data/metrics from production, service, supplier, or process improvement activities and analyzes using statistical techniques. Interfaces as needed with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure process requirements are met. Facilitate customer presentations for Mandatory Government Inspections (MGI) and/or Safety of Flight activities (SOF). Conduct surveillance audits for compliance to the C-130 Quality Management System. Responsible for developing and coordinating defect containment actions. Collaborate with Quality Engineering on the root cause of defects and development of robust corrective actions. Provide mentorship and on-the-job training related to quality control methods, techniques, and tools to the inspectors and/or quality control workforce. Review completed assembly, process, test, mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical quality records to determine data accuracy, acceptability, and completeness. Manages the quality records control process to assure adequate accountability and traceability. As required, the scope of work may span across shifts. A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience. This role may require support on Swing Shift (Between 3:45PM- 2:15AM).
