About The Position

The Quality Analyst II at Modea is a consultant and investigative specialist responsible for evaluating the integrity and excellence of digital products for our healthcare clients. This individual acts as a bridge between complex technical requirements and the end-user experience, utilizing methodical exploration and deep analytical thinking to protect product quality. We are looking for a resourceful problem solver who doesn't just check boxes but actively consults with clients and project teams to diagnose deep-seated defects and mitigate risk. You must possess a sharp investigative instinct for uncovering non-obvious problems and the professional discipline to maintain high standards through every development cycle. You are a student of the craft, constantly looking for ways to integrate modern tools like AI and automated frameworks to make our testing lifecycle smarter and more efficient.

Requirements

  • Strong critical thinking and test design skills used to navigate conflicting priorities and diagnose complex, underlying product issues.
  • Ability to communicate technical testing concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders and influence product direction through data-backed quality insights.
  • Deep understanding of the languages of development and design, specifically as they relate to API structures, web security, and automated patterns.
  • A commitment to high standards and the ability to maintain a high level of focus in structured, technical environments without losing sight of the big picture.
  • 2+ years of context-driven testing experience or equivalent education.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Management, Marketing, (or a related field) or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working within healthcare or for a consulting agency.
  • Experience with JMeter for performance benchmarking and familiarity with API testing tools like Postman.
  • Foundational knowledge of web security fundamentals, Web Accessibility Guidelines and experience building or maintaining automated test suites.
  • Hands on experience with modeling, test design, and working with mind maps.
  • Experience with Rapid Software Testing (RST), and using AI tools to enhance testing workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the product deeply to identify potential risks and consult with clients and teams on recommended actions and quality improvements.
  • Use exploratory testing techniques and high-level analytical thinking to find and investigate bugs across multiple browsers and devices, focusing on the root cause rather than just the symptoms.
  • Serve as the primary advocate for the end-user, verifying that functionality, design, and ADA accessibility are never compromised.
  • Design and execute performance testing scripts using JMeter to verify stability under load, and conduct thorough API testing to validate data communication between services.
  • Evaluate web applications against core security principles to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Create and maintain automated test suites using Mabl and Appium, while proactively leveraging AI-assisted tools to optimize the testing lifecycle.
  • Author clear, reproducible bug reports and technical user guides that translate complex defects into actionable items for developers and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the use of quality best practices throughout the SDLC, verifying that specifications are met across all platforms from discovery to post-launch.
