The Quality Analyst I role focuses on delivering outstanding customer satisfaction by providing analytical and technical support to the business community through the validation of solutions that help achieve strategic business goals. This role requires maintaining a high level of productivity, working well in a team environment, executing test plans, documenting test results, and responding to vendor and user inquiries. It also involves providing production support and performing and documenting detailed data analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (preferably in Business, Computer Science or Mathematics).
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation (responsive, consultative, collaborative, and accurate).
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, juggle multiple products, organize and prioritize work as instructed.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial Insurance experience helpful.
  • Experience with SQL query writing and BI tools such as Cognos helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Executes test plans for policy administration and other business-related systems.
  • Assists in the development of departmental SOPs, business application user manual(s), and user-facing notices regarding system changes.
  • Work with department management to design and develop documents, forms, and application configurations according to technical specifications and business requirements.
  • Review and document test results.
  • Submit detailed problem reports to the vendor as needed.
  • Work with manager to triage open issues before reporting to the vendor.
  • Suggest possible training or other internal responses.
  • Work with users on reported problems to define issue for faster vendor resolution.
  • Provide vendor support by responding to inquiries for data and clarification on reported issues.
  • Provide production research support in determining the nature, impact, and extent of issues.
  • Respond to inquiries, researching possible problems, and help develop workarounds as needed.
  • Help meet all departmental goals, comply with departmental and corporate policies and procedures, and provide backup for others.
  • Assist the offshore team with business application issues.
  • Collaborate with CUW, FUW, Operations, Accounting, Audit, and other Tokio Marine Departments on policy administration and other business-related systems issues and concerns.
  • Comply with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at Tokio Marine.
