About The Position

Perform quality audits in accordance with written instructions to include customer requirements. This role involves performing quality process audits of all production jobs, rejecting and containing nonconforming products, ensuring proper labeling, assisting production with quality-related problem-solving, maintaining the traceability system, and performing final audits. The position requires adherence to production standards, safety consciousness, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), teamwork, and following company policies and safety procedures. The working environment is a manufacturing plant, requiring the use of gauge instruments and documentation of findings. Safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe shoes are mandatory.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Mathematically inclined.
  • Basic use of gages and measurement tools.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Understanding of QMS and IATF-16949.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Willing to work any and all overtime as required.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • Capable of taking directives and following instructions.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of completing the proper paperwork.
  • Communicate with coworkers and team leader.
  • Safety and quality oriented.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, alcohol/drug screen test and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • CMM experience and programming are a plus.
  • First shift internal training may be required.
  • Willing to pursue courses of instruction as outlined by the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality process audits of all production jobs running in accordance with written instructions and customer requirements.
  • Reject, contain, and tag nonconforming products.
  • Ensure routing/move tags/labels are placed on all product containers and completed correctly.
  • Assist production with problem-solving on quality issues.
  • Assure that the traceability system is maintained per procedures.
  • Perform final audits.
  • Help in achieving production standards.
  • Be safety conscious and include proper use of P.P.E.
  • Work in a team environment and work with other employees.
  • Follow company policies and safety policies, and practice safe work habits.
  • Other duties as assigned.
