About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Quality Inspector 1st Shift. This position is eligible for a variable incentive program. The hourly rate for this position is $20.94 per hour. The hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 3:30 pm. As a Quality Inspector, you will carry out a wide range of detailed inspection activities required by customers to ensure products meet or exceed specifications. This includes selecting the appropriate inspection tools, methods, and procedures based on product type and customer expectations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Previous quality experience.
  • Eaton does not offer immigration sponsorship for this position (no CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, H‑1B, O‑1, E‑3, TN, I‑485 portability, etc.).
  • Relocation is not provided. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the Greenwood, SC facility.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs and lift up to 40 lbs with or without accommodation.

  • Ability to influence and collaborate through relationship‑building and process knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 months+ of manufacturing experience.
  • 3 months+ of experience using hand and air tools.
  • 1 year+ of experience with MS Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough inspections of materials, components, and finished goods to ensure they meet all quality and safety standards.
  • Use various measurement tools and testing equipment to verify product compliance with specifications.
  • Accurately record inspection data, maintain test and measurement documentation, and report any non‑conformance issues.
  • Identify, document, and communicate defects, deviations, or areas for improvement in products or processes.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, industry, customer, and internal standards (e.g., ISO).
  • Partner with production teams to provide quality feedback and recommend corrective actions.
  • Suggest improvements based on inspection findings and data analysis.
  • Conduct routine audits of production processes and quality systems to confirm ongoing compliance.
  • Provide guidance or training to team members on quality standards and inspection practices.
  • Perform follow-up inspections to confirm corrective actions have been completed effectively.
