About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professional (QP) to lead a team of caregivers as the Residential Group Home Manager. The team works diligently to support residents living in a group home in Charlotte, NC, who have developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. This leadership role involves providing supervision and oversight of services for residents, participating in the development of structured care plans, and managing direct support staff. The Manager ensures quality services that support individuals' health, safety, and welfare, collaborates with families and external entities, adheres to policies, manages attendance, and completes required training.

Requirements

Proof of Bachelor’s Degree from an approved accredited institution in a Human Services program.
Meet the qualifications for a NC mental health qualified professional.
A valid driver's license, a good driving record and current auto insurance.
In-depth knowledge of different therapeutic approaches and techniques as well as their practical application in a group home setting.
Ability to work independently.
Adept at problem solving and de-escalation in times of crisis.

Responsibilities

Provide supervision and oversight of services for the residents of the home.
Participate in the provision and development of structured care plans to individuals.
Hiring, training and development, supervision and monitoring of direct support staff.
Ensure quality services that support individuals' health, safety, and welfare.
