About The Position

Centurion is seeking a full-time Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join their team at Lawrence Correctional Center in Sumner, Illinois. The QMHP will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients within a correctional setting. This includes conducting intake assessments, providing crisis intervention, developing treatment plans, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, managing cases, and delivering individual and group therapy. The role also involves performing duties as assigned by leadership and adhering to Centurion policy, IDOC Directives, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

• Masters level degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field from an accredited educational institution.
• Active Independent mental health professional license in Illinois: LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, LPC or LSW.
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation.
• Must maintain active CPR/AED certification.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of two years’ experience with direct care for individuals with mental illness.
