About The Position

Centurion is seeking a PRN Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to join their team at the Branchville Correctional Facility in Branchville, Indiana. The QMA will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or other medical staff. Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting dosages and administration times, taking vital signs, assisting with examinations and treatments, and aiding patients with daily living activities. The QMA must also monitor patients and report any changes in their condition.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Graduation from a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) training program required
• QMA certification required
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency, or correctional setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses by following written and/or oral instructions to administer medications.
