About The Position
Centurion is seeking a PRN Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to join their team at Plainfield Correctional Facility in Plainfield, Indiana. The QMA works under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or other medical staff. They are responsible for assisting nurses by following written and/or oral instructions to administer medications and document drug dosages and times of administration. The QMA also takes vital signs, assists in examinations and treatments, and assists patients with activities of daily living while monitoring patients to report changes in their conditions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Graduation from a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) training program required.
- QMA certification required.
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency, or correctional setting preferred.
