About The Position

The QIDP Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting and supervising Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff within KCARC’s group homes. This position oversees the daily operations of assigned residential programs to ensure high-quality, person-centered care. The QIDP Program Coordinator ensures that all services and supports provided to assigned individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities align with their Individual Support Plans (ISPs), regulatory requirements, and agency standards. This role promotes independence, dignity, and quality of life for each individual served while ensuring full compliance with state, federal, and KCARC policies.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of person-centered planning, state regulations, and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. independently and over 75 lbs. with assistance.
  • Maintain reliable transportation available for use during working hours, valid driver’s license and provide proof of automobile liability coverage.
  • Possess ability to maintain flexible schedule to meet the demands of the department.
  • Possess excellent research and writing skills.
  • Possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Be proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office products.
  • Accept responsibility and demonstrate leadership.
  • Be able to multitask effectively in a sometimes fast paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (required).
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Medication Administration: Core A and Core B
  • CPR/First Aid
