QHSE Advisor
About The Position
The QHSE Advisor will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of business growth strategies through robust operational and safety practices. This position involves effective communication with clients and field personnel to meet project and business requirements, fostering strong working relationships to deliver value through innovation, integrity, and service excellence. The role requires assisting in pre-planning requirements for projects, monitoring activities for adherence to safety standards, and providing on-site QHSE support. Additionally, the advisor will support the development and maintenance of QHSE policies, the Business Management System, and ensure compliance with various regulations. Risk management, incident investigation, performance monitoring, and emergency preparedness are also key aspects of this role, all aimed at promoting a strong safety culture and environmentally responsible practices.
Requirements
- Effective communication with clients and field personnel
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Assisting in project pre-planning requirements (e.g., operator qualifications, drug and alcohol compliance, safety training)
- Monitoring project activities for safety standards and client expectations
- Traveling to job sites for field-level QHSE support
- Tracking project compliance with safety and quality requirements
- Supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of QHSE policies and procedures
- Assisting in maintaining the Business Management System, including ISO-related processes
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
- Conducting site inspections and audits
- Participating in hazard identification and risk assessments
- Supporting investigations into incidents, near misses, and non-conformities
- Assisting in implementing corrective and preventative actions
- Tracking and reporting QHSE performance metrics and trends
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring project documentation meets corporate and client standards
- Promoting a strong safety culture and environmentally responsible practices
- Supporting emergency response planning, drills, and readiness activities
- Assisting with environmental compliance efforts (waste management, emissions)
- Encouraging sustainable practices
Responsibilities
