About The Position

This position is onsite in Lino Lakes, MN. The hours of this position are typically 4pm - 12am but may change depending on the business needs. In this position you'll evaluate, test, monitor, and record quality control procedures ensuring products are produced as planned and designed to meet industry and company standards as presented to customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Able to read blue prints
  • Concrete mix designs
  • Concrete testing, tolerances and recordkeeping requirements
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office products and data input
  • Team player
  • Math aptitude
  • Detail oriented; process management and ability to follow strictly prescribed methods
  • Good verbal communicator
  • Able to operate testing and mixing equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior quality control experience desirable
  • Construction experience desirable

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate aggregates for moisture content for adjustment of mix quantities and gradation for compliance with specification.
  • Conduct fresh concrete testing via sampling. Perform slump, temperature, air, and unit weight tests; prepare test cylinders and record results.
  • Conduct pre and post pour inspections of product to ensure compliance with drawings. Inspect for form dimensions & squareness, reinforcing steel, embedment plates, lifting inserts, etc. Record results and complete cull report for non-conforming products.
  • Conduct/Inspect strand stressing to ensure compliance with drawings and specified tolerance. Record results and material certification data.
  • Perform concrete strength tests prior to release of prestressing and at 28 days and record results.
  • Periodic inspection of headed stud and assembly welding.
  • Participate in the identification, documentation and execution of safe practices in all areas of production to assure safety is equal in importance to the quality of product produced.
  • Report problems to QC Lead or manager.
