Function: Environmental, Health & Safety Job Summary: CF Industries has many exciting and challenging opportunities at its world class production facility in Yazoo City Mississippi. The employee in this position will be responsible for the analysis of a wide range of samples submitted by the Yazoo City Complex to ensure they meet quality specifications. These include in process samples, raw products, and finished products. The employee will also perform routine analysis on environmental samples, quality control and calibration of laboratory instrumentation, and data entry. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from an A.C.S. accredited chemistry program is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in other physical science disciplines will be considered if strong evidence of laboratory analytical chemistry skill is demonstrated
  • Minimum of 1 year of Analytical Chemistry laboratory experience preferred
  • Experience with ICP, UV-VIS, GC, IC, and FT-IR, is valuable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Both informal and formal data reporting and use of IT will tools be required
  • Presentation skills sufficient to communicate thoughts succinctly to Lab Supervisor and Operations managers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management skills and be comfortable working in an environment where priorities change rapidly
  • Applicants considered for this position will be required to perform analytical skills or techniques to demonstrate proficiency (Examples: Spectroscopy, Chromatography, Qualitative Analysis etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Receive and log samples into LIMS system
  • Perform Analytical Chemistry testing as required
  • Prepare Reports of Analytical Chemistry Results
  • Check, Calibrate, and Maintain Laboratory Equipment
