QC Technician - 2nd & 3rd Shifts

About The Position

The QC Technician supports the established Quality policy and performs duties required by the documented quality system manual, directives, and work instructions. The role involves sampling and testing products at specified production stages, conducting destructive and nondestructive tests, documenting and evaluating results, and supporting quality improvement and production problem-solving. The position also requires maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area and operating a lift truck as required.

Ability to operate a lift truck as required.

Responsibilities

Support the established Quality policy and fulfill duties required by the documented quality system manual, directives, and work instructions.
Select products and prepare samples for tests at specified stages in the production process.
Test products for dimensions, performance, and mechanical or chemical characteristics in accordance with required standards.
Set up and perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
Assure compliance with applicable standards, including ASTM, NSF, and UL.
Record test data using statistical quality control procedures.
Evaluate data and complete reports to validate compliance or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Raise quality concerns to management.
Support operators in finding solutions to quality problems.
Recommend modifications to quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within equipment capability.
Prepare graphs or charts of data and/or enter data into a computer for analysis.
Lift and move heavy items as required.
Operate a lift truck as required.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
