About The Position
As a Quality Control Technician (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday), you will have a strong customer focus and possess a strong working knowledge of wet chemistry techniques and instrumentation skills. This exciting role is responsible for conducting analytical testing, developing new test methods, and interpreting test results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Higher education in a Technical Degree with a strong Analytical Chemistry background
- 5-years of experience working in a high throughput quality control lab
- A strong background in analytical instrumentation and analysis including, but not limited to, GC-MS, LC-MS, and ICP
- Experiencing managing lab projects and working with a small to mid-size teams
Nice To Haves
- Prior experiencing working in a third-party testing lab strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Independently manage the analysis of samples and data ensuring each sample comes off within its allotted lead time
- Operate and maintain ICP, HPLC, GC/MS and various lab instrumentation using accepted GLP and GMP procedures. Work with service engineers to perform routine maintenance to minimize instrument down time
- Evaluate new test methods to bring to on site and routinely review current methods and suggest any improvements
- Participate in Formal Root Cause Analysis and implement Corrective Actions
- Effectively communicate, both verbally and written, lab data and results to other departments
- Work in interdepartmental teams and with affiliate sites
