QC Technician I-II
About The Position
ALK Source Materials, Inc., (ASM) a leading manufacturer of quality allergenic biological source materials, and a member of the global ALK-Abello' group of companies, is recruiting for our Quality Control Technician I-II position. Join our stable and growing company and provide leadership and expertise to our workforce located in our 150,000 square foot facility in Post Falls, ID. Become part of our talented Quality team and participate in the inspection and release of product to our customers. The position is responsible for inspecting products for compliance to specifications, maintaining traceability of laboratory samples, upholding required documentation, and maintaining sample check-in and throughput workflows. In addition, the position will assist with QC Incoming data reviews, revising and reviewing documents and logbooks, and maintaining the Incoming herbarium. The qualified candidate may also perform limited laboratory testing on Incoming samples, depending on experience. All positions at ASM require the ability to comfortably and safely work around insect venoms, allergens, hazardous chemicals, solvents and other laboratory reagents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years related experience
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Ability to work around hazardous chemicals and allergenic antigens
- Medically qualified to use a respirator and hearing protection without restrictions
Nice To Haves
- College degree or exposure to college level science classes preferred
- Experience working with Good Manufacturing Practices
