About The Position

The QC Technician C assists the PET / PAPER Department with quality control and monitors the department’s quality assurance activities. The role helps standardize duties and ensure personnel follow corporate policies and procedures so products meet or exceed customer and department specifications. The position reports quality status to the shift supervisor, production assistant manager, QC Sr. Technician and/or plant manager. The work takes place in manufacturing, both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying hot and cold temperatures and noise.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Good statistical and analytical skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity with report writing and preparation.
0–1 years of experience; preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and general computer programs.
Attention to detail.
Consistent, dependable attendance and willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
Ability to effectively manage job-related stress and foster productive workplace interactions.

Nice To Haves

Quality control and production experience desirable.
Paper manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Comply with written and verbal safety rules and procedures.
Keep assigned work areas clean and safe.
Report quality status to the shift supervisor, production assistant manager, QC Sr. Technician and/or plant manager.
Notify packers and machine operators of quality defects.
Monitor quality standards.
Read and understand sequence reports and tally sheets.
Perform the proper quality assurance procedure for all types of bags.
Assist with training new personnel and share workload as needed.
Pass all master training courses with a minimum score of 80.
Perform other duties or responsibilities as deemed necessary by the supervisor, production assistant manager, QC Sr. Technician and/or plant manager.
