The Quality Control and Safety Manager at Ft Riley is responsible for managing, documenting, and reporting operational grounds maintenance activities and validating the quality of these operations. This role also serves as a coordinator and leader for safety operational activities, working closely with various Tessera departments and the home office to organize, document, and certify systems across all operating divisions. The position involves supporting the division manager, providing training and development, and managing data gathering, report planning, safety, and ISO compliance at the location. This includes evaluating new or revised safety or ISO systems, monitoring operational performance, analyzing results, and managing reporting and process changes. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, regulatory bodies, and operational functions to meet deliverables and achieve timely approvals. It also involves developing and executing long-term and short-term operations reporting procedures to maximize deployment ease and speed, reduce costs, and provide excellent customer support. Customer support strategies, service documentation development, ongoing safety and ISO customer support, knowledge database creation, continual improvement, and customer satisfaction surveys are also key aspects of this role. The position requires conducting inspections to ensure safety requirements are met, assuring compliance with OSHA, Reg. 200-1, EM 385, NFPA, EPA, and DOT codes, and generating detailed reports on findings. Assistance may be needed in other areas of Loss Prevention, such as Workers’ Compensation and Risk Management, and collaboration with Safety Trainers and committees for safety training programs is expected. Travel to off-site locations is required. Tessera is a service-based environmental consulting firm focused on environmental and safety compliance and remediation. The position is responsible for formulating and implementing safety and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with services, especially for Government facilities, and providing training on various safety programs. The QC Safety Manager acts as the company representative for safety and compliance issues with OSHA and for all safety inspections.
