About The Position

The Regulatory & QC Manager is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards across fragrance and chemical manufacturing operations. This hybrid role oversees regulatory submissions, compliance frameworks, and customer documentation, while also managing quality control processes, specifications, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role partners closely with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to ensure products meet regulatory, safety, and quality requirements globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, or related field (required).
  • 5–8+ years of experience in Quality and/or Regulatory Affairs within chemical, fragrance, cosmetic, or related manufacturing environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of fragrance and chemical regulations (IFRA, GHS).
  • Hands-on experience with QC testing, specifications, and batch release processes.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or plant-adjacent environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable operating in a hybrid, roll-up-your-sleeves role within a growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee QC processes for raw materials, in-process batches, and finished goods.
  • Establish and maintain product specifications, COAs, testing protocols, and release procedures.
  • Investigate quality deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Partner with Operations to drive continuous improvement and process consistency.
  • Support internal audits and customer quality audits as needed.
  • Ensure alignment with internal quality standards and applicable industry best practices.
  • Serve as the primary regulatory owner for fragrance and chemical products, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., IFRA, GHS, OSHA).
  • Prepare, review, and maintain regulatory documentation including SDS, product disclosures, compliance statements, and customer questionnaires.
  • Monitor changes in global regulatory requirements and assess impact on existing and new formulations.
  • Partner with R&D and Product Development on regulatory feasibility of new ingredients and formulations.
  • Support customer and auditor inquiries related to regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain regulatory databases and ensure accuracy of ingredient and product information.
  • Act as a key liaison between Regulatory, QC, Operations, and Commercial teams.
  • Support scale-up, supplier qualification, and ingredient changes from a regulatory and quality perspective.
  • Contribute to documentation, SOP development, and training related to regulatory and quality processes.
