About The Position

FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a QC Lab Supervisor for their Mesa, AZ facility. This is a working supervisor role responsible for supervising and coordinating all QC lab activities within their area. The role involves reviewing data, enforcing safety protocols, ensuring adherence to SOPs, evaluating staff skills, and contributing to performance reviews. This position specifically covers 3rd shift operations, requiring work from Monday through Thursday, 8 PM to 6:30 AM, on a 4-day, 10-hour schedule.

Requirements

BA/BS degree in Chemistry or related degree a technical field such as Biochemistry, Biology, Physics or Mathematics
A minimum of 5 years of experience working in an analytical lab
3 years of previous lab supervisory and statistical experience required
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and within different functional groups
Able to work in a fast-paced environment to include multi-tasking and handling constant changes in priorities
Database administration experience to include MS Access and SQL Server
Experience with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to work third shift. Monday thru Thursday 8pm to 6:30am, 4 day, 10 hour schedule
Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Responsibilities

Manage day to day laboratory operations and prioritize workloads to meet business needs
Analyzing QC samples, working side by side with chemist in support of production
Be a main point of contact to support manufacturing and engineering process requirements
React, respond and report out non-standard, OOC and OOS conditions generated from all levels of the manufacturing process
Promote, improve and enforce safety by supporting current practices, engaging new innovative development and administer all aspects of safety by supporting EHS
Supporting R&D metrology with personnel for GR&R, training and instrument troubleshooting to flawlessly implement and maintain analytical methods
Support and drive management of change from beginning to end
Responsible for training and/or mentoring to develop QC Chemists’ personnel needs
Administrating and promoting instrument health, maintenance, calibration and outside service support
Order administration for your areas of responsibility
Evaluation and Performance reviews with personnel under your supervision
Responsible for overall, scheduling of your areas personnel to cover company requirements
Ensure the team is functionally cohesively and maintaining good working relationship with all other departments and team members
