Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • One year supervisory experience required

Responsibilities

  • Meet with Quality Control Manager to communicate on safety, quality, production, production scheduling, and equipment requirements.
  • Maintain assigned areas of responsibility in a clean, neat, and orderly manner to ensure a safe and healthful work environment.
  • Maintain QC Lab and Calibration systems to ensure product meets customer and BGF requirements.
  • Communicate Quality performance to manufacturing areas to aid in corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and assist in quality problem investigations, resolutions, and dispositions.
  • Walk area of responsibility to determine any corrective actions related to employee assignments, safety, quality, training, or communication.
  • Communicate with customers as needed on quality-related issues.
  • Travel to customers or vendors as needed for quality-related issues.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and update all laboratory equipment.
  • Manage lab supplies as needed.
  • Manage supporting work and projects from Process Engineers.
  • Monitor data trends in chemicals, yarn, & fabric properties and report any concerns to the applicable departments.
  • Monitor performance of lab data to specifications and initiate changes to specifications as applicable.
  • Perform appropriate written documentation related to attendance, job performance, training, or employee issues.
  • Perform computer operations as required.
  • Perform any other assignments as directed by the Quality Control Manager.
