About The Position

The QC Inspector performs inline quality inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacturing process. The role records defects daily and may recommend process improvements. The inspector works closely with Production to identify nonconforming materials on the shop floor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related experience.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the quality function.
• Ability to read a Pi-Tape, calipers, depth gauge, and weight scale.
• Ability to lift product and stand for extended periods.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• At least 18 years old.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials for quality and defects.
• Inspect cylinders internally, externally, and dimensionally to ensure they meet internal and external customer requirements.
• Perform in-process and final inspections.
• Identify nonconforming material and notify the Quality Lead or Team Leader so nonconforming material reports can be generated.
• Generate rework tags and send nonconforming material to appropriate areas for rework.
• Provide feedback based on shop-floor experience to help improve Production and Quality processes, and potentially assist with implementing and testing new processes.
