Performs Quality Control Inspections for all phases of modular project activities, with capabilities to lead and problem solve. Responsibilities include performing inspections and setting quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products. The role involves performing and leading inspections and testing throughout stages of production, assuring that work and materials meet establishment and regulatory standards, and recording results of testing. The QC Inspector will observe the Quality Control process to trace the cause of production defects and confer with production and Quality Control personnel to resolve problems in a timely manner. This role also involves attending meetings to obtain and discuss reports of production defects, providing instruction, guidance, and direction, and applying technical skills and knowledge to complete assigned work. The position requires responding to standard requests, solving routine problems by following defined procedures, managing time to meet deadlines, and working effectively as part of a team. The ability to multitask, perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and work overtime when workload requires is essential. Specific duties include generating NCR's when required, performing VT Inspections, understanding and inspecting according to contract requirements and subcontractor contract requirements, and following HSE requirements. The role assists with the implementation of project-specific quality procedures and performs and documents inspections as required (weld/heat map, weld log, NDE coordination, witness of pressure testing), as well as inspections of subcontractor work. The QC Inspector will oversee subcontractor inspections and review of subcontractor documentation.
