Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of welding, fabrication, or quality inspection experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Working knowledge of welding and steel fabrication processes.
  • Ability to use measuring and inspection tools.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • NDT inspection experience.
  • UT Level II certification with shear wave experience.
  • MT Level II certification.
  • AWS D1.1 weld inspection experience.
  • Structural steel fabrication experience.
  • AWS CWI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and document that finished products are manufactured in compliance with customer specifications and AWS D1.1.
  • Perform dimensional layout and visual weld inspections on all welds in accordance with quality inspection procedures.
  • Document all inspections on appropriate inspection forms.
  • Perform VT, MT, and UT inspections as required.
  • Inspect welds, fit-up, and fabricated steel components.
  • Verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections.
  • Verify material traceability and documentation.
  • Complete inspection reports and NCRs.
  • Use measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Support root cause investigations and CARs.
  • Assist with customer, internal, and third-party audits.
  • Work with Production and Engineering to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate inspection and quality documentation.
  • Uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
