Perform inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, first articles, and finished products to verify compliance with engineering drawings and quality specifications. Conduct final inspections of completed products prior to shipment. Utilize precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, and digital/optical inspection equipment. Verify and maintain calibration status of all inspection equipment used. Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, and internal quality procedures to determine product acceptance criteria. Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records in accordance with company procedures. Ensure complete traceability of parts, materials, and supporting documentation throughout the manufacturing process. Create and process Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) while ensuring proper identification and segregation of nonconforming material. Perform both dimensional and visual inspections with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Review shop travelers and manufacturing documentation for completeness and compliance before advancing products to the next operation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area. Support production requirements by adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
